Information about the exam
Your exam consists of two parts:
- Final presentation
- Business plan (PDF)
The business plan (PDF) carries significantly more weight than the final presentation – but this does not make the latter any less important.
Please send your business plan to sandy.bittner@benjamin-michels.de by the deadline.
Your overall grade will be based on the business plan (PDF) and the final presentation. Based on our experience, we recommend that you review both your final presentation and your business plan against the assessment sheets before submitting them to avoid losing any points.
Final presentation
You will give your final presentation live on-site. Whether you use PowerPoint, a flip chart, handouts, or something similar is entirely up to you. The only important thing is that you stay within the 10-minute time limit. It is also important that you maintain an appropriate presentation style (expressive delivery, clear speech, good posture, etc.).
This presentation is mandatory for all course participants!
If you are ill, you must provide a doctor’s certificate.
Business plan (PDF)
You can choose any length for your business plan. Business plans typically range from 20 to 60 pages – depending on factors such as the complexity of your business idea, the inclusion of illustrations, etc.
Please note that the closer you get to 20 pages, the more concise your business plan needs to be. With 60 pages or more, however, you risk becoming verbose, repetitive, and not getting to the point.
The business plan must be submitted exclusively in PDF format. You can, of course, add tables that you wish to present in detail to the end of the PDF (as an appendix to the business plan). Within the business plan itself, it is recommended to include excerpts of tables as images. We assume that we will gain a detailed understanding of your financial calculations, at the latest, in the appendix. The business plan includes, in addition to a detailed discussion of your business idea:
- Cover page
- Table of contents
- Bibliography, sources
- Financial tables (possibly as an appendix)
- Free design of an attractive layout
